I have always been the person who does the household repairs and I own 100% of the power tools. I also really sucked at taking care of sick kids and my partner was a champ at the organizing of meds and staying on top of it. The way we divided chores was based on who was better at something. If both of us sucked we would outsource. That seems to make the most sense and takes the whole argument away from gender roles and chores.
